Today was the official start of this adventure. Since my fridge was packed, I opted to start with the recipes that would use the as many of the things overflowing my fridge as possible.
I started with the veggies, this is when I discovered that I really don't know how to "peel" a butternut squash. I think I figured it out sufficiently. The dog really thought so when some of it went flying and hit the floor. There were loads of veggies that the husband is not a fan of. asparagus, eggplant, mushrooms. He still said it was good though.
Then I moved on to the burgers. This was one of the most loaded, messiest burgers I've ever had. You look at it and really question how this is going to be good. Then you try it...and it's delicious! I even ate my burger with the cheese and I never eat cheese on a burger.
So on the whole, I would say the meal was a win! I have the links for both so give them a shot!
If you look at the playlist, it looks like this meal took forever to make. It really wasn't bad, I was just also working on how to video what I was doing to create a TikTok. So you definitely shouldn't judge anything by that. Just enjoy some extra music!
