Quick Carmel Sauce / Quick & Easy Apple Tart...

Over the last few days I made the components of the Quick & Easy Apple Tart. A few days ago I made the Caramel Sauce and tonight I made the Quick & Easy Apple Tart. Both of which turned out amazing!

The caramel sauce is good for so many things. It tastes a lot like a Werther's Original. This is good for ice cream, coffee, a spoon, lol. The old man says that it's even good cold. It's stored in the fridge and it becomes like honey. You just need to microwave it for 20 seconds and then it can be poured easily. I accidentally made a double batch once I added double the amount of the heavy cream. That's ok though, it will certainly be used. 

The tart also turned out really good. The recipe called for 1/4 tsp of salt which I forgot but I did add 1/2 tsp of cinnamon and in place of the 3/4 cups brown sugar, I used 1/2 cup of brown sugar and 1/4 cup of white sugar. I ran out of the brown sugar because I used it all for the caramel. Personally, I thought what I wound up with was delicious! It was also extremely easy!!

Now for the mistake of the week....aside from the nails. I attempted the Pumpkin Wonton Ravioli. This was a gigantic fail. I'm sure I probably did something wrong but I wasn't a fan of the wonton's in place of pasta. The filling did have good flavor so I'm going to eventually try it again but with pasta.
