Let me start out by saying....every grocery shop seems to be the, "big grocery shop". This one however was slightly extra. If you saw the photo for the previous post, you could see the list of everything needed for the chosen recipes. I had very few of those items. Of course that didn't include everything else needed to survive for two weeks.
I don't know how you grocery shop, but I try to get everything needed for two weeks at a time. I work nights and I really dislike going to town, especially in the summer. Needing to go to Sandusky in the summer is nothing short of a nightmare. I live by the curbside pick up and die by the curbside pickup. I use the curbside pickup because I've found it to actually help me save money. I don't forget things and I don't pick up unnecessary items. I do my shopping from four locations; WalMart, Sams Club, Meijer, and Kroger. Since I'm saving the time by not physically grocery shopping, I check the price on everything at all locations so I can find the lowest price. I can then go to town and do a loop and have everything taken care of within an hour. Like I said, I work nights and I frequently work overtime, so this is an enormous help. If you aren't grocery shopping this way....I recommend it.
So everything has been ordered, we're not going to talk about the cost and it will be picked up tomorrow. With all good luck, everything will be there. That can be the only downfall, but the convenience makes it a small price to pay. After I pick up the groceries, I'll go to the local butcher, Bubbarock. They have the best meat and the best prices. I have to take a minute to brag on the husband. He may think all of this is the dumbest idea I've had only recently. You'd never know it though. He's my biggest cheerleader and supports all of my dumb ideas. If you can get yourself a best friend and partner for life like him, I recommend it! Everybody deserves their lobster in life.
